2012 Chevrolet Captiva Indian Version Soon To Hit Indian Roads

Its time to replace the ageing model of Chevrolet Captiva with the all exclusive 2012 Chevrolet Captiva Indian version. The model will place General Motors among the top players of SUV segment.
This new launch will give a straight competition to the likes of Toyota Fortuner and the Mahindra W201 World SUV which is soon to launch in Indian auto market. The styling of the car is simply outstanding with a hint of General Motors’ patent detailing along with the latest and refreshed bold looks given to the car.

The front grille of the car is made extremely aggressive as seen in Chevrolet Beat and the Chevrolet Cruze. The flaring headlamps are accompanied with a redesigned bumper. Talking about the interiors of the car, here also one can find great hints of Chevrolet Beat and the Chevrolet Cruze. The dashboard of Chevrolet Captiva 2012 is blessed with a radical new look. The seats are colored in dull grey and black which is one negative point in the cockpit as it makes the overall appearance go dull.

At present the engine details are unclear as it may be possible that the SUV flaunts the existing 2 Liter Diesel engine same as seen in Chevrolet Captiva and the Chevrolet Cruze. Or may be General Motors can opt for exclusive 2.2 Liter CRDI Diesel powerterain capable of smoking out 163 Bhp of peak power and beating torque of 350 Nm. With the change in 2.2 liter engine, the SUV is also expected to receive a new transmission option as well. The car might get a six speed manual transmission box. 2012 Chevrolet Captiva will make its official entry in the Indian auto market by the second half. The car is expected to be priced 1 lakh above the existing price of Chevrolet Captiva.
